Access an education in finance using football as a medium to engage you and retain the knowledge you are about to learn.
The course is split into 4 sections:
1. Fundamental Principles – covering the basic debits and credits of football accounting, an overview of football finance and how to understand financial statements. This makes for a level playing field in order to progress through the course.
2. Intermediary Principles – allowing you to understand the differences between management and financial information, accounting for player contracts and revenue recognition. This increases the level of complexity, building on what has been learned previously.
3. Advanced Principles – including risk management, treasury, internal governance and head office functions alongside the audit process, covering further elements of the role of a Football Finance Professional, specifically looking to progress into the Financial Controller role and beyond.
4. Professional Principles – teaching you about debt and equity, inviting you to join in the debate about funding structures for football clubs, before advancing onto the final topics of taxation in football and UEFA Financial Fair Play.
